One moment that stands out was during a recent group reading activity—students who would normally struggle to stay attentive were able to participate actively, discuss the text, and collaborate with their peers. The simple addition of snacks helped remove a barrier to learning that often goes unseen.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new supplies, their excitement was unmistakable. There was a sense of relief and gratitude, along with genuine joy. Some students even expressed that it made them feel cared for and valued, which has strengthened our classroom community. I have been able to constantly provide tissues and hand wipes for students.
