For example, right now we are learning about celebrating Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, for May and we read the story Cannonball by Sacha Carter. \r\nThe students were able to see colored images of New Zealand, watersports and Mauri traditional people and some of their traditions. We printed them in class and looked closely at them to activate vocabulary which was supported through the text of the book. \r\n\r\nThe value of working with colored images, and actually having some moments where their eyes are looking at detail in art, photos or colors rather than eyes on their computer screens also have proved important for their language development! \r\nThank you. It is the little details in my lessons that make the greatest impact.","fullyFundedDate":1774633613843,"projectUrl":"project/share-the-magic-of-colored-images/10084567/","projectTitle":"Share the Magic of Colored Images!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Damato","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10429181_orig.jpg?crop=473,473,x522,y645&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770301723186","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10429181"},{"teacherId":5314147,"projectId":10098563,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your incredible generosity in funding our project. Having access to high-quality, vibrant color printing allows me to create tailored visual schedules, communication boards, and adapted learning materials that meet the unique needs of each student. My students are deeply visual learners, and seeing bright, clear, engaging images has already boosted their focus and enthusiasm for daily tasks.\r\nBecause of your support, my students now have resources that truly support their learning styles and help them thrive every single day.
