This week, the students in my 5th grade group used the Who?, What?, Where? cards to create silly stories. There were stories about giraffes jumping in forests, a monkey playing in a boat with his friends and family, and a grandpa who went to the zoo and was eaten by a lion (sad, I know). The students worked with the cards in the box for two days in a row. The second day, they took their writing a step further and created their own little books with illustrations to go with their stories. It was wonderful to see them so excited about writing.
