I have a class of 23 third graders. They attend a public school in Mississippi where most of the students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and don't have many books at home. Most of the students are on free or reduced lunch. For some of them, the meals they receive at school are the only meals they will get during the day. They are a very active class.
