These books teach kindness, spark curiosity, and build early literacy skills in both English and Spanish. The beautifully illustrated stories are making a true difference, helping our little ones develop social-emotional skills, pre-reading skills and communication skills while promoting a love for literacy.\r\nEach day, we see the joy on our children's faces as they gather by the children's library and the cozy area. They are ready to explore new adventures using books. It's a delight to watch them name and label as they flip through the pages of a book, some are beginning to retell favorite stories using pictures. Our non-verbal and English learners students are using the illustrations to point and demonstrate their receptive skills and all the students explore new vocabulary with our bilingual books. They also requests titles during small group or individual read aloud from their library. The students are also beginning to use self regulation, use the visuals in the cozy area to express emotions and apply calm down strategies that help support their social emotional growth. \r\nYou didn't just help us enrich our children's library and cozy area.
