Your generosity helped my students create uplifting cards and inspirational signs that we used throughout our classroom and hallways—especially during test‑prep season. These signs became daily reminders for students to stay confident, calm, and motivated, and they truly brightened our learning space.\r\n\r\nThe materials you provided allowed students to design with creativity and purpose. Many of them were excited to use the new tools to make encouraging messages for classmates, teachers, and even themselves. One student who usually struggles with confidence proudly created a sign that read \"You've got this\" and asked that it be hung right above his desk. Moments like that showed just how meaningful this project became for them.\r\n\r\nI also want to apologize for the small number of photos included. I had planned to capture more of the students' work in action, but with our busy schedule and testing preparations, I wasn't able to take as many as I hoped. Still, I hope the photos you received give you a glimpse into the joy and pride your support brought to our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us spread kindness, wellness, and encouragement. I truly appreciate your generosity; it has helped make a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1764962108766,"projectUrl":"project/spreading-wellness-and-kindness-through/9944246/","projectTitle":"Spreading Wellness and Kindness Through Student-Created Cards","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dean","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp313913_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764563135637","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/313913"},{"teacherId":313913,"projectId":9923496,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, every student in our classroom now has their own copy of Scholastic News, and it has quickly become a highlight of our week. These magazines introduce essential reading skills—like identifying main ideas, analyzing text features, and building academic vocabulary—through topics that feel relevant and exciting to students. Having access to high‑quality informational texts has helped them grow more confident and curious as readers.\r\nReading time now feels more collaborative and joyful. Students annotate articles together, discuss current events, and make connections to their own lives. The visuals and accessible language help all learners participate, including multilingual students and those who sometimes struggle with longer texts. The magazines have become a shared anchor for partner reading, small‑group discussions, and independent exploration.\r\nSeveral students have especially thrived with this resource. One student who rarely spoke during reading activities now eagerly volunteers to share his thoughts after each issue. Another, who is still developing confidence in English, uses the audio versions to practice fluency and proudly reads sections aloud to classmates. These moments are possible because you chose to invest in them. Thank you for ensuring every child has a voice and a text they can truly connect with.","fullyFundedDate":1765041197103,"projectUrl":"project/equitable-access-scholastic-news-for-ev/9923496/","projectTitle":"Equitable Access: Scholastic News for Every Child, Every Voice","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dean","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp313913_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764563135637","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/313913"},{"teacherId":10292766,"projectId":9770592,"letterContent":"It was such a rewarding experience to see my students learn how to use keyboards and then apply those skills to teach digital literacy to senior members of the Bushwick community!\r\n\r\nWith guidance from our librarian, the students learned how to recognize online scams and practice safe browsing habits. They then created their own informational brochures using the keyboards, which were shared with families at our school as well as members of the local elderly community.\r\n\r\nThe keyboards remain a vital part of our classroom lessons. Our students now use them to write essays and respond to written prompts, building essential 21st-century skills that will serve them well as they progress through elementary school.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting this meaningful learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1759867550871,"projectUrl":"project/digital-literacy-coaches-scam-awareness/9770592/","projectTitle":"Digital Literacy Coaches: Scam Awareness for Seniors","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Liu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10292766"},{"teacherId":10291456,"projectId":9768717,"letterContent":"Your generosity helped turn our students into teachers and digital leaders within our community and within our school community. Using the printer, ink, and copy paper funded through this project, students researched important digital literacy topics and created easy-to-understand brochures about safe internet use, recognizing scams, protecting personal information, and navigating everyday technology. These brochures became powerful learning tools. Students had to deeply understand each topic in order to explain it clearly to others, which strengthened their own digital literacy and critical thinking skills. Technology in our classroom isn't just something students consume—it's something they use to create, communicate, and educate others.\r\n\r\nWhat excited students most was seeing their ideas come to life in a real, professional format. After designing their brochures, they proudly printed and assembled them to share with authentic audiences. The moment they distributed the brochures to seniors at our neighborhood senior care center and throughout our school building was incredibly meaningful. Students realized that the technology skills they are developing in school have real-world value and that they can help others feel more confident and safe online. Knowing their work could make a difference motivated them to put extra care into their research, design, and explanations.\r\n\r\nSeveral students especially thrived in this project. Some who are usually quieter in class became leaders when explaining technology concepts to others. One student who loves working with computers took the lead in helping classmates format their brochures and ensure the information was clear and accessible. Another group of students showed remarkable patience while discussing the materials with seniors, carefully walking them through topics like recognizing suspicious emails. These moments showed our students that their knowledge matters and that they can use technology not just for learning, but for service and connection within their community. Your support helped make that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1760648297042,"projectUrl":"project/helping-students-to-promote-love-for-lit/9768717/","projectTitle":"Helping Students to Promote Love for Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10291456"},{"teacherId":10229200,"projectId":9672086,"letterContent":"Thank you for your wonderful donations to our students!!!
