I am writing to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our afterschool crochet club, Stitching Together Wellness. Thanks to your donation, we were able to bring this vision to life—and the impact it has had on our students, our school, and our surrounding community has been truly remarkable.\r\n\r\nThe club provided a much-needed safe haven where students could come after school to create, connect, and heal. For many, it was the first time they had a space where they could express themselves freely, bond with teachers and peers in a meaningful way, and learn a new skill that empowered them. Week after week, we watched shy students come out of their shells, friends form over yarn and color patterns, and creativity bloom in ways we never imagined.\r\n\r\nOne of our 8th-grade students was even inspired to begin designing her own crochet pieces and is now exploring the idea of launching her own small business in high school. This kind of spark—this kind of confidence—was made possible because someone believed in them enough to invest in their joy, growth, and mental wellness.\r\n\r\nBeyond the yarn and hooks, what you helped create was community. A space filled with laughter, music, creativity, and genuine care. Even parents expressed interest in joining, which has inspired conversations around potentially expanding the program in the future to include evening classes for adults. Your support didn't just touch our students—it touched families and opened the door to deeper connections throughout our school community.\r\n\r\nBecause of its success, Stitching Together Wellness will now be a yearly offering at our school. It has become a staple of what we do to support our students' mental health and well-being in creative, inclusive, and joyful ways.\r\n\r\nFrom all of us—students, staff, and families—thank you for being a part of this journey. Your generosity planted seeds of healing, growth, and connection that will continue to bloom for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1738254531736,"projectUrl":"project/stitching-together-wellness-crocheting/9076948/","projectTitle":"Stitching Together Wellness: Crocheting to Build Mental Health and Connection","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jordan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9905609"},{"teacherId":1399335,"projectId":8606753,"letterContent":"In our classroom, we've introduced a variety of sensory tools and alternative seating options—such as wobble stools, floor cushions, balance balls, and sensory stones—to create a more engaging and supportive learning environment. The students were immediately curious and excited when they first saw the materials, and many eagerly tried out the new seating choices. Their reactions were full of smiles, laughter, and lots of questions, showing how eager they were to explore the options.\r\n\r\nSince implementing these tools, we've seen a positive shift in focus, self-regulation, and overall classroom behavior. Students who previously struggled to stay seated or attentive are now more engaged and comfortable during lessons. The flexibility to choose seating that suits their needs has empowered them to take more ownership of their learning, while also promoting a more inclusive and responsive classroom culture.","fullyFundedDate":1723699200612,"projectUrl":"project/roll-bounce-rock-your-way-into-learni/8606753/","projectTitle":"Roll, Bounce & Rock Your Way into Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lanza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1399335_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723164536378","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1399335"},{"teacherId":7730826,"projectId":8705664,"letterContent":"Thank you for your most generous donation. My students, supporting staff and I could not be any happier with our new rug. My kindergarten students were so excited to see the bright colors and design. Some students said, \"Wow, this is so soft\"...\"Mrs. Turner, this is so beautiful!\" I was truly amazed at their reaction. \r\n\r\nThe rug helps me create routines. I have assigned seating on the rug. The squares and colors help the students remember where they sit during lessons. During \"free time\" my students have used the rug for our hopping game. My paraprofessionals use the rug as a tool to recite the alphabet or numbers as the children jump from square to square. Students use the rug to take a nap when needed. The rug also provides an extra space/place for small group instruction or one to one tutoring for students. \r\n\r\nI am looking forward to using this rug next year. It is a really good quality rug. Thank you so much for helping my class and future classes enjoy a soft, colorful classroom rug.","fullyFundedDate":1735693993835,"projectUrl":"project/a-designated-place-for-learning/8705664/","projectTitle":"A Designated Place for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Turner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7730826"},{"teacherId":4524257,"projectId":8707998,"letterContent":"First of all let me say thank you! You Ave provided an amazing opportunity to my students.
