The tools requested (standup desks and bands) will have a strong impact on my students' ability to focus and complete tasks successfully. It will provide choices they can independently make to improve their learning. Having the option of how to complete a task is empowering to my whole classroom. These tools promote self awareness and problem solving. For example, students that notice they are experiencing extra energy can request a band or a standup desk to help with that. Lastly, having the standup desks provide the opportunity for students to move around after sitting all day.
