Our classroom is full of little readers who are just beginning to discover the magic of books. The new Pete the Cat collections were especially loved by students because the stories are engaging, repetitive, and accessible for early readers. These books helped students practice foundational literacy skills such as identifying sight words, recognizing rhyming patterns, building reading stamina, and learning how to use picture clues to make meaning from text.
