Technology allows students to explore educational programs, practice important academic skills, and participate in interactive lessons that make learning more exciting and accessible. Many of my students learn best through visuals and hands-on activities, so having access to a laptop helps bring lessons to life in ways that traditional paper activities sometimes cannot. It also gives me the opportunity to differentiate instruction and support students at their individual learning levels.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for my students is simply having the opportunity to use technology as part of their everyday learning experience. They are eager to participate when lessons involve the laptop, and even students who are usually hesitant become more confident and motivated. The ability to listen to stories, play educational games, practice letters and numbers, and engage in interactive activities has increased both participation and enthusiasm in the classroom. Students are also able to use the laptop during downtime in our cozy corner, where they can independently explore educational activities in a calm and comfortable space. In addition, they are excited to create projects on Canva, which allows them to express their creativity while building technology skills at the same time.\r\n\r\nSeveral students in particular have especially warmed up to this new technology. Some of my quieter students have become more engaged during lessons because technology gives them another way to express themselves and participate comfortably. I have also seen students who struggle with attention stay focused for longer periods of time when using interactive learning programs and creative projects.
