We started the year off strong with this printer! As I teach social emotional learning, each of the lessons I teach comes with a color poster that I can print and laminate to put around the classroom to remind students of what helps us be great classroom citizens. I was also able to make copies for my entire team so that they would get it too! Any time my students need a color reference, I can print it for them to use. It also helps with many visual learners. Students can now sit comfortably and work without the worry of getting splinters. The tables also allow more students to work together in one area and are a much better height for our older students. \r\n\r\nThe old wooden benches were smaller and too low for some students to comfortably sit in. These benches allow for easier transition when sitting and standing.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful to have this beautiful upgrade in our community garden. Teachers and students have also begun using the space to eat lunch, complete homework, and simply enjoy nature — all because it is now a safer and more welcoming place to be. It is truly transforming our school community. \r\n\r\nThis is exactly what we hoped for: a space where students can learn, grow, and connect with the garden and the natural world around them. You have personalized name tags at your desks. How cool!\" and that made my students feel very special. Thank you for making this possible! Besides having a name tag that helps them spell their names and form their letters correctly, they love to move their cards when they switch seats or use their name tags to cover their answers on a test. My students also love keeping their pencils and erasers visible so that they never have to look for it in their desks. The gorilla tape was also helpful to keep them tight on their desks! Students also love their plastic boxes for crayons as the original ones all broke within days. While they initially took a very long time to set up (who knew padding was so difficult to fit into a zipper pouch??), it was all worth it in the end! The colors are beautiful and the sizing was perfect for every little 6 year old. Since there were many cushions available, my students all got to choose the color they wanted. They now sit on them for comfort at their seats as well as on the floor. Some of them use it as a back cushion on their chairs. They absolutely love having them and enjoy the comfort in the room. The supplies were truly a delight. While I knew students had supplies coming into the year, I also did not expect to start with a complete clean slate and it really helped to have some materials donated from you. Some students didn't have the supplies needed, and I was able to provide some for them. The dry erasers have been useful long-term and replace some of the larger cheaper ones that were in place. The stickers have been an incredible incentive for students to earn points to get them. The paper supplies have been used steadily, with index cards to help with spelling and flash cards and cardstock to help with long-term printed paper use and projects.
