My students present with a variety of disabilities and difficulties. I have students who demonstrate difficulty with their: phonemic awareness and reading skills, reading comprehension, critical thinking, word-finding, pragmatic skills, and articulation skills. Some have been diagnosed as autistic, dyslexic, hearing impaired, emotional disturbed, or learning disabled. My students are motivated to improve their skills and work so hard. However, very often their confidence has taken a hit due to the struggles they have experienced in the classroom.
