We are using the beaker sets, measuring cups, scales, and aprons during our Properties of Materials unit as students design and test their own glue recipes. One of my favorite moments was watching students carefully measure ingredients, record their observations, and excitedly compare which mixtures were the stickiest. They worked together, made predictions, and talked like real scientists using evidence to explain their thinking.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were beyond excited. They immediately asked when we could start experimenting. For many of them, this was their first time using real science tools, and it made them feel important, capable, and proud of their work.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue refining their glue designs by testing different mixtures and analyzing what changes make a material stronger or stickier. They'll use data they collect to explain their results and share their thinking with classmates. Thanks to your generosity, my students are not just learning about science, they're doing science, and that experience will stay with them long after this unit ends.","fullyFundedDate":1760728655493,"projectUrl":"project/little-chemists-exploring-the-propertie/9796542/","projectTitle":"Little Chemists: Exploring the Properties of Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Louris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9721148_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756409365698","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9721148"},{"teacherId":10244380,"projectId":9689514,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom!
