These tablets are needed for the second grade so they can access reading programs online. They will use them to go on Raz Kids to read leveled books that are just right for their level. My students love reading their books and including a station where they are able to use the tablets will only increase their excitement. Students will become so excited to read and will want to come to school more when they know they can use the tablets. It will also be used as an incentive for students to complete their work and work extra hard. When it is not reading time, students will also be able to use the tablets for learning or fun brain breaks!
