During literacy centers, students use them to listen to audiobooks and follow along with text, which has significantly improved their engagement and comprehension. One memorable moment was watching a group of students completely immersed in a storytelling activity—each student listening at their own pace, fully focused, and excited to discuss the story afterward.\r\nThe students were incredibly excited when they first received the headphones! Many of them immediately wanted to try them on and test them out. There was a noticeable sense of pride and ownership, and they quickly understood that these tools would help them learn in a more personalized and distraction-free way. It made technology time feel special and purposeful.\r\nNext, students will continue using the headphones for differentiated learning activities, including language development programs, math practice, and interactive lessons. We are also incorporating more multimedia projects, where students can listen, respond, and even record their own voices. These headphones will play a key role in helping students build independence and confidence as they engage with digital content across subjects.","fullyFundedDate":1771033929517,"projectUrl":"project/easy-listening/10052240/","projectTitle":"Easy Listening","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McEnearney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7023266_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1575946372428","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7023266"},{"teacherId":7023266,"projectId":9931016,"letterContent":"Our students have been enthusiastically using the new garden supplies to bring hands-on learning to life. One standout moment was when students worked together to plant their first round of vegetables and flowers. They carefully measured soil, spaced seeds, and labeled each section of the garden. It turned into a meaningful lesson not just in science, but also in teamwork and responsibility. Watching their excitement as they realized they were creating something real and sustainable was incredibly rewarding.\r\nThe students were absolutely thrilled when they first saw the new materials! Their faces lit up with excitement, and many immediately started asking questions about what we would plant and how quickly things would grow. For some, it was their first time seeing real gardening tools up close, which made the experience even more special. Their curiosity and eagerness set a positive tone right from the start.\r\nMoving forward, students will continue caring for the garden by watering, weeding, and tracking plant growth in journals. We're also beginning a unit on plant life cycles, where students will observe and document changes over time. Eventually, we hope to harvest what we grow and incorporate it into a small tasting or cooking activity. Having these resources available has already made a noticeable difference in their engagement, especially during longer lessons when energy levels naturally dip.\r\n\r\nWe have begun incorporating snack breaks into our literacy and enrichment routines. These moments have helped students transition smoothly between activities and maintain concentration during small-group instruction.
