Your donations were a much needed addition to my classroom library. The students squealed with excitement when they saw all their favorite characters and books in my class library. They could not believe that strangers would buy them new books they specifically have requested from me. They are truly grateful. \r\n\r\nMy non readers to early readers like to cozy up in the bean bags with their favorite book and read with enjoyment. We often start our mornings with breakfast and a read aloud, eliciting genuine conversation and book talk. Their language skills have developed so much already. \r\n\r\nWe have been able to use the books to discuss story elements, practice identifying rhyming words, retelling a story and even learn the steps to wash our hands as a mentor text to our how to writing unit. Students of all levels were able to access and understand the curriculum better because of your contribution. We are so thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1726453592149,"projectUrl":"project/growing-readers-sparking-a-love-for-li/8783133/","projectTitle":"\"Growing Readers: Sparking a Love for Literacy in Early Learners\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Atallah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6389894_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632397959268","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6389894"},{"teacherId":6389894,"projectId":8783316,"letterContent":"Thanks to your donation, I was able to make my classroom a place where students look forward coming to. I had one first grade student who used to cry and scream every time he did not get his way or if someone hurt his feelings. After using the feelings mirror and the feelings and emotions dough mats he now uses his words and says \"I am feeling...\" Thanks to these new materials, he learned how to take a break, identify how he is feeling and appropriately express that. \r\n\r\nAnother favorite is the Pop Tetra balance game.
