My students and I are already getting so much meaningful use out of the new instructional tools, and I'm excited to share how they've enhanced our learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my first graders were immediately intrigued by the giant magnetic Number of the Day chart and the magnetic draw-and-write paper. As soon as I placed them on the board, students gathered around, pointing and asking questions. Several of them couldn't resist reaching out to move the magnetic pieces and explore how everything worked. Their excitement set the tone for how engaging these tools would become in our daily lessons.\r\n\r\nThe Giant Magnetic Number of the Day Chart has quickly become one of the class's favorite morning activities. Students love taking turns building numbers, showing different forms, and using the dry-erase place value number line to explain their thinking. This hands-on practice has made abstract concepts feel accessible and fun, especially for students who benefit from visual and tactile learning.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic draw-and-write paper and dry-erase handwriting lined boards have also transformed our writing block. Students now have a clear, reusable model for proper handwriting, sentence formation, and spacing. During a recent writing mini-lesson, I watched a student who normally struggles with letter formation suddenly light up — the magnetic lines helped him stay organized and confident as he wrote. It was such a joyful moment to see him proud of his work.\r\n\r\nThe math manipulatives and essential teacher supply set have been incredibly helpful for small-group instruction. Students now have access to tools that support counting, building numbers, and practicing core math skills in a hands-on, meaningful way. These resources encourage exploration and independence, and they allow me to differentiate more effectively during guided math time.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting additions has been the Plan Toys tie-up shoe, which has become the star of our fine-motor and life-skills center. My students LOVE practicing how to tie, and many have made it a personal goal to \"master the shoe\" by the end of the year. It's been heartwarming to watch them cheer each other on, celebrate progress, and gain confidence in this important everyday skill.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity, kindness, and belief in my students. These materials have brought so much joy, structure, and engagement to our classroom. Because of your support, my students have access to tools that help them grow academically, socially, and independently — and we truly couldn't be more grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758898710259,"projectUrl":"project/little-hands-big-learning-writing-mat/9760761/","projectTitle":"Little Hands, Big Learning: Writing, Math, and Life Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Delli Carpini","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10188440_orig.jpg?crop=2970,2970,x728,y1085&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756857296970","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10188440"},{"teacherId":10188440,"projectId":9674762,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom project! My first graders and I have already begun using the new materials, and they've made an immediate impact on our daily routines and learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, the students were buzzing with excitement. As I unpacked each item, they reacted with wide eyes and huge smiles — especially when they saw the Mr. Sketch scented markers. Several students immediately started guessing the scents, turning it into a fun, impromptu mini-lesson on using descriptive language. The tactile letters and ten-frame dry-erase boards were also a big hit, with students eagerly asking, \"Can we use these today?\"\r\n\r\nWe've already integrated the tactile letters into our phonics lessons. During a recent small-group activity, students used the textured pieces to build words, tap out sounds, and self-correct in ways they couldn't before. It was incredible to see how these hands-on tools boosted their confidence and helped them stay focused. The ten-frame whiteboards are now part of our daily math centers, allowing students to visualize addition and subtraction with ease.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and generosity have brought so much joy, comfort, and engagement to our classroom. Your support is truly making a difference for our youngest learners, and we are incredibly grateful.\r\n\r\n\r\nMany of our donors are familiar with technology at home, but the way we use it in school is a bit different. These headsets help our students focus during learning programs by blocking out classroom noise. They allow children to work at their own pace, listen to stories, practice early reading and phonics skills, and build confidence with educational activities that respond to their individual needs. Because the audio is clearer and more personal, students stay more engaged and are able to practice important early-literacy and listening skills.","fullyFundedDate":1758898759119,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-success-with-headsets/9754402/","projectTitle":"Supporting Success with Headsets","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Falcón","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4665092_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1656162374768","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4665092"},{"teacherId":4665092,"projectId":9543197,"letterContent":"We are having so much fun connecting with the scholastic magazines. The chair bands and sensory supports like calm strips and putty have already made a noticeable difference for some of my more sensory seeking students they're calmer, more engaged, and better able to manage their emotions throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe hands on learning tools have turned lessons into exciting, interactive experiences, and the clipboards, markers, pencils, glue, and snacks are helping my students stay nourished, creative, and prepared to learn each day.
