Because of your generosity, my students are able to deepen their science research skills in preparing for our science fair. \r\n\r\nWe are already using the new materials daily. Students have begun experiments, carefully measuring reagents with the balances and graduated cylinders you provided. One especially meaningful moment was watching students set up their first experiments independently—using beakers, flasks, gloves, and ice from the new ice machine—while confidently discussing controls, variables, and sources of error. These tools have transformed our classroom into a functioning research lab and have elevated the level of scientific thinking and ownership among my students.\r\n\r\nFor students from historically underfunded backgrounds, having access to professional-grade tools sent a powerful message: that their ideas, questions, and futures in STEM truly matter.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve students using these resources to develop and refine their own long-term science research projects. They are currently forming research questions, designing experimental procedures, and preparing to collect and analyze original data. Several students are working toward submitting their projects to science fairs and competitions, while others are gaining foundational lab skills that will support future STEM coursework and careers.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a lasting impact—not only by providing equipment, but by building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging in science. Thank you for believing in our students and investing in the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.","fullyFundedDate":1765980709202,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-grow-our-science-research-progra/9779255/","projectTitle":"Help Us Grow Our Science Research Program!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Goldstein","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp39707_orig.jpg?crop=338,338,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759283384343","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/39707"},{"teacherId":8815987,"projectId":9221998,"letterContent":"The students at Midwood High School had an amazing time at the Summer Read Beach Party.
