Because of your generosity, my 6th and 7th grade science students now have access to fidget tools that help them manage their energy and stay focused during class. We have already begun using them during independent work, note-taking, and group discussions. One moment that really stood out was during a recent lesson when students were analyzing data and discussing their ideas in groups. Students who usually struggle to stay focused were able to remain engaged in the conversation while using the fidgets, allowing them to fully participate in the scientific thinking happening around them.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were incredibly excited. We took some time to talk about how these tools are meant to support focus and self-regulation, and the students were eager to try them out. It was wonderful to see how quickly they understood that these were tools to help them succeed. Many students immediately shared that the fidgets helped them stay calmer and concentrate better during the lesson.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, my students will continue using these tools as we dive deeper into our science units, including experiments, collaborative problem-solving, and analyzing scientific evidence. My goal is to help students develop strategies that allow them to regulate their energy and stay engaged with challenging scientific ideas. Your support is helping create a classroom environment where students can focus, participate, and grow as young scientists. The new materials, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, headphones and other supplies, have allowed students to engage in more interactive, creative and hands-on learning. For instance, with the headphones, our low reading and English Language learning students are receiving the privacy they need to have their work read for them and to listen to themselves without anyone else (ear) witnessing or judging their work. \r\nWhen the students first saw the new supplies, their reactions were filled with excitement and gratitude. Many of them expressed how they never thought they would have access to such a larger amount of supplies. Some even shared how they had struggled with inadequate materials, so the arrival of the new resources felt like a huge gift. The energy in the classroom was palpable as students eagerly started exploring writing in different colors in order to identify the many parts of their essays, stories, art and math solutions.\r\nLooking ahead, the students are eager to use their supplies in their upcoming projects. In our current classroom lessons, they will be using colors to make their work \"pop\" and shine. These projects will help them develop critical thinking, research, and presentation skills, which are crucial for their academic and future career success. The impact these supplies have had on their academic performance is evident, as they're able to access a wider range of learning materials and apply their knowledge in creative ways and, it is all possible thanks to your kind donations.\r\nIt is with utmost gratitude that we all send you our Thanks.","fullyFundedDate":1758899092891,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-learning-seeds-for-dreams/9550066/","projectTitle":"Tools for Learning, Seeds for Dreams","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. M. Your kindness and belief in our mission have made a tangible difference in both our physical environment and the way my students engage with their learning.\r\nWhen I first made the request for bean bags, wobble chairs, and floor cushions, I envisioned a space where students could move, stretch, and learn in a way that aligns with their individual needs. Thanks to you all, that vision has become a reality. The impact was almost immediate. From the first day the new seating was introduced, I noticed a remarkable change in my students' energy, focus, and participation.\r\nMany of my students face challenges that go beyond academics, yet they approach each day with resilience and determination. These flexible seating options have given them a renewed sense of ownership and excitement about being in class. Some of my students have found comfort in the bean bags while working on their cool down, opening up and sharing their mathematical reasoning more readily. Others, who often struggled to stay still in traditional chairs, now thrive while using the flexible seating that allows them to move in a controlled way without distraction.\r\nThe classroom has transformed into a more inclusive and adaptable space—one that truly reflects the diversity and spirit of the students in it. Our classroom now feels welcoming, warm, and responsive to students' needs. This environment has encouraged collaboration, creativity, and a stronger sense of community among the students. They're not just learning—they're actively participating, supporting each other, and enjoying their classroom flexibility along the way.\r\nIt has been very meaningful to see how this change has helped foster confidence and independence. It's not just about physical comfort, it's about providing the right conditions for each student to flourish. \r\nAs a teacher, I am continually inspired by my students' unwavering spirit. Your contribution has amplified that inspiration, reminding them and me that there are people who believe in their potential and are willing to invest in their success. You have helped create a space that encourages persistence, self-expression, and growth.\r\nFrom all of us , thank you for believing in our classroom and supporting our journey as we continue to equip our math classroom. Because of you, my students now have access to the essential products they need to manage their menstrual health with dignity, comfort, and independence. What once caused embarrassment, stress, or missed class time has now become a challenge my students can face with confidence.\r\n\r\nMany middle schoolers are too shy or self-conscious to ask for menstrual supplies when they need them, which can lead to awkward situations that disrupt their learning. Thanks to you, our classroom now has a safe, discreet station stocked with pads, tampons, wipes, and pouches that students can take without worry or judgment. A small group of girls even helped create these pouches, which gave them not only a sense of ownership but also the joy of knowing they were helping their classmates.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done more than provide supplies—it has helped break down stigma and foster a culture of care, respect, and support. Your kindness has truly made a difference for my students in ways that go far beyond a simple snack.\r\n\r\nMany of my students face food insecurity, which affects their ability to concentrate, participate, and thrive in school. Thanks to your generosity, they now have access to nourishing snacks that keep them energized and focused throughout the day. For children who often come to school without a reliable meal, these snacks are not just food—they are fuel for learning, growth, and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe impact was especially clear during state testing. Instead of worrying about empty stomachs or fatigue, my students were able to concentrate on showing what they know. Having something to eat before and during testing gave them the energy they needed to do their very best. Similarly, in after-school programming—when hunger often hits hardest—snacks provided a boost that helped them stay engaged and motivated.\r\n\r\nYour support has created a classroom environment where no child has to learn on an empty stomach. You've shown my students that they are cared for and supported, and that belief in them makes just as powerful an impact as the snacks themselves.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of all of my students, thank you for giving them the nourishment they need to succeed—not just academically, but in building the confidence and resilience that will carry them far beyond our classroom walls.","fullyFundedDate":1742823966521,"projectUrl":"project/help-fuel-young-minds-donate-snacks-to/9180706/","projectTitle":"Help Fuel Young Minds: Donate Snacks to Our Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2425287_orig.jpg?crop=1568,1568,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701189487595","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2425287"},{"teacherId":7276831,"projectId":9188751,"letterContent":"The new Zen fountain has become a central part of my of my office. Many students have found it helpful to spend a few moments by the fountain, allowing them to breathe deeply and gather their thoughts in a serene setting. \r\n\r\nThe positive response from students has been heartwarming; they often share how much they appreciate the calming effects of the fountain and the lavender scent.
