I would like to give you an update on how the machine is being used.\r\n\r\nThe students and I are having a blast with the Ninja Slushie Machine! It has become a useful centerpiece in our culinary lab. \r\n\r\nWe use it several times a week to experiment with fun flavors like blueberry-pomegranate lemonade, fruit punch, peach, green apple, and Caribbean sorrel. Students use it to serve guests during school workshops, and our culinary department have used it to showcase several beverage creations at the recent schoolwide Art Expo!\r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled and immediately took ownership of the new equipment. The unboxing felt like Christmas as students opened the box in awe. They are already pros at setting up and cleaning the machine. Their dedication to keeping it spotless has been a fantastic, hands-on way to teach them about kitchen sanitation and safety.\r\n\r\nWe will use the machine to learn more about the business side of culinary arts. They will be practicing how to calculate ingredient costs and evaluate how accurate recipes, taste and appearance can impact sales.\r\n\r\nThis project has brought us so much joy! Staff members are always welcome to stop by to grab a treat or give a shout-out to our \"student chefs.\" Our students truly enjoy packaging and serving frozen treats to their peers and teachers, proving that sharing really is caring.","fullyFundedDate":1770585675307,"projectUrl":"project/gourmet-slushies-for-all-building-commu/10072077/","projectTitle":"Gourmet Slushies for All: Building Community Through Culinary Arts","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fearon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10423650"},{"teacherId":10038094,"projectId":9365639,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, our classroom now has access to a color printer that has truly enhanced how my students engage with their learning. Before, we were limited to black-and-white visuals, but now students can create vibrant projects, design colorful study materials, and print visually engaging resources that help them better understand complex historical topics. This technology has made lessons more interactive and allowed my students to take pride in the presentation of their work, helping them see the connections between creativity and academic success.\r\n\r\nMy students were immediately excited to use the new printer — especially when they saw their research posters, timelines, and infographics come to life in color for the first time. One student in particular, who often hesitated to share her work, proudly displayed her project because the visuals reflected her effort and creativity. The color printer has inspired my students to think more critically about how they present information and to take greater ownership of their learning.
