Before, we were limited to black-and-white visuals, but now students can create vibrant projects, design colorful study materials, and print visually engaging resources that help them better understand complex historical topics. This technology has made lessons more interactive and allowed my students to take pride in the presentation of their work, helping them see the connections between creativity and academic success.\r\n\r\nMy students were immediately excited to use the new printer — especially when they saw their research posters, timelines, and infographics come to life in color for the first time. One student in particular, who often hesitated to share her work, proudly displayed her project because the visuals reflected her effort and creativity. The color printer has inspired my students to think more critically about how they present information and to take greater ownership of their learning. Thank you for giving them this opportunity to bring their ideas to life.","fullyFundedDate":1749927333087,"projectUrl":"project/i-need-this-for-my-class/9365639/","projectTitle":"I need this for my class.","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kelly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10038094"},{"teacherId":4649736,"projectId":8794035,"letterContent":"We are grateful for your support in receiving our special micron drawing pens. Students were able to feel professional and use the materials to show variety of line using the different pen types. \r\n\r\nThe Zentangle project consisted of three parts. We started out learning how to draw various Zantangle patterns and then combined them into a final design. This was a foundational exercise focused on introducing them to patterns. We then applied new patterns to more complex shapes and arranged them to make a unique design. The students created interesting and unique designs.\r\n\r\nLast we explored color. We learned watercolor techniques like salt and wet on wet and enhanced them with Zentangle patterns to create beautiful final artworks that explored pattern and principles of design. \r\n\r\nMicron pens are also always great for stippling technique and cross hatching and allow students to build dimension and form into their work. We will continue to use them next year thanks to your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1736350645921,"projectUrl":"project/drawing-fun/8794035/","projectTitle":"Drawing Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Iancu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4649736_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1502761020095","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msiancuarts"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_554","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":455,"numTeachers":58,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":26,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":68,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"7.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.7,"schoolId":554,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Juan Morel Campos Secondary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Juan Morel Campos Secondary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/juan-morel-campos-secondary-school/554"}
