As new filmamkers, we are learning how to spark our creativity by imagining and pre-producing our projects before we film them. \r\n\r\nThe fastest way to visualize an idea is to sketch it out, and we've been doing a lot of that thanks to you.\r\n\r\nWhile we might not all be James Camerons, we are all able to shape and share our ideas through this process. Since you supported us with your generous contribution, we have expanded our partnership with the Guardians of Flushing Bay and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. Just last month our collective efforts were recognized by GrowNYC with a grant that will enable us to plant a small orchard at our school. \r\n\r\nYesterday, we added another new partner to our team, NYC Soil and Water Conservation. The coalition is growing!\r\n\r\nTogether with the 300 students in our Media Arts program we will be planting trees, caring for our city's rain gardens and tree beds, nurturing and connecting our roots, sharing our resources, and eventually harvesting the fruits of our collective labors.
