By having theses tablets, my students will be able to practice their math skills through diverse programs such as Khan Academy, mathematical videos that are designed specifically on their levels of math comprehensions to fully support their learning. These tablets will enhance the technology aspect of a math workshop classroom. Using these tablets with my special education students will help them promote conceptual understanding on the various types of topics. When ICT is integrated with technology, it helps education become student-centered, through visuals, modified activities and motivates young learners to have fun in math! Students will be able to focus on activities that involve technology to further their understanding on math since we want a STEM center in our math workshop. Using technology will help my students receive the support and scaffolds they need for specific instruction during math workshops. These tablets already have a place in our classroom and my students are eager to start using them in order to help them achieve mastery in the content area. By watching mathematical videos, my students can have a first-hand experience of how to solve problems on their own so the activities can be more student-centered. Additionally, in this technology world that we are living in, any technology we have will help increase their self-to-world connection and their desire to learn!
