A couple of students even said, \"I like the privacy boards much better!\" We have student monitors who are in charge of distributing and collecting the boards, which also helps build responsibility. Moments like this remind me how much these boards support both learning and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe disinfecting wipes have been invaluable as well. Students and I can quickly clean desks, chairs, and shared materials, keeping our classroom healthy and safe. Knowing that their space is clean helps students feel cared for and ready to focus on learning each day.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students now have a more organized, comfortable, and healthy classroom. Your support changed that, and the impact has been truly inspiring.\r\nFrom the very first lesson with their new shoes, I watched students' confidence grow. They were able to point, flex, and move without slipping, and they began to take ownership of their learning in ways I hadn't seen before. Students who were once hesitant to join in now volunteer first, excited to try new steps and improve their skills. The energy in the room soared as classmates cheered each other on. These shoes didn't just improve technique; they helped students feel proud and included as dancers.\r\nYour support also made our Winter Dance Showcase extra special. We used the showcase materials you provided to create props and stage decor that elevated the entire production. Students talked about how exciting it felt to perform on stage with confidence, knowing they had the tools to shine and that doesn't just build dance skills, it builds self-esteem and community. Since you supported us with your generous contribution, we have expanded our partnership with the Guardians of Flushing Bay and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. Just last month our collective efforts were recognized by GrowNYC with a grant that will enable us to plant a small orchard at our school. \r\n\r\nYesterday, we added another new partner to our team, NYC Soil and Water Conservation. The coalition is growing!\r\n\r\nTogether with the 300 students in our Media Arts program we will be planting trees, caring for our city's rain gardens and tree beds, nurturing and connecting our roots, sharing our resources, and eventually harvesting the fruits of our collective labors.
