We were so excited when the materials arrived that we put the easel together immediately! It has already become a central hub for our learning, and seeing the children's faces light up when they saw a dedicated space for our daily lessons was a moment I won't soon forget.\r\n\r\nSince setting it up, we have already put the easel to great use across multiple subjects. We recently used it to illustrate the intricate stages of the butterfly life cycle, and it served as the perfect canvas for creating a collaborative anchor chart for past and present tense verbs. Having this visual tool at the students' eye level makes a significant difference in their engagement and ability to follow along with complex concepts. It has truly transformed the way I deliver instruction and how the students interact with our curriculum.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your kindness and for choosing to invest in our classroom. This easel is a high-quality resource that we look forward to using for many years to come. Your contribution has not only provided a physical tool but has also sent a powerful message to my students that their education is valued by the community. We are so grateful for your support and for the impact you have made on our learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1778107391549,"projectUrl":"project/easy-as-an-easel-elevating-our-daily-le/10269443/","projectTitle":"Easy as an Easel: Elevating Our Daily Lessons","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Castracucco","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9085373_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769297199998","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9085373"},{"teacherId":10275402,"projectId":9750278,"letterContent":"Thank you so profoundly for your incredible generosity in funding our new iPad charging station! In our 2nd-grade classroom, technology is a vital bridge to learning, but it only works when it is powered up and ready to go. Your gift has transformed our daily routine and significantly impacted my students' ability to focus on what matters most: their education.\r\n\r\nThe charging station is not only useful in keeping the classroom organized, but it has assisted in my students' learning as well. \r\nWhile many use technology for entertainment at home, in our classroom, these iPads are essential tools for personalized learning. We use them for interactive math simulations, phonics practice, and digital storytelling. Before your donation, we struggled with devices dying mid-lesson or tangled cords creating safety hazards. Now, the technology is integrated seamlessly. Because the iPads are always fully charged, students can jump straight into their \"Success Maker\" or \"Lexia\" programs without delay, allowing for consistent, uninterrupted skill-building tailored to their individual levels.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part is the \"Home Base\" feel of the new station. They love the glow of the charging indicators and the fact that each iPad has its own dedicated \"parking spot.\" It has turned a once-chaotic corner of the room into a high-tech hub that they take great pride in maintaining.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I have noticed a significant change in a few of my students who previously struggled with executive functioning and organization. One student in particular used to feel very anxious when their device wasn't ready, which would often derail their morning. Since the station arrived, this student has taken on the unofficial role of \"Tech Manager,\" ensuring every device is plugged in correctly. This responsibility has boosted their confidence and ensured they—and their peers—start the day feeling prepared and successful.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis charging station has brought a new level of discipline to our 2nd-grade environment. My students are now more organized and prepared to use their devices each day. They understand that being a good digital citizen starts with taking care of our equipment. Because we no longer have to hunt for available outlets or swap out dead tablets, we have reclaimed valuable instructional time.\r\nYour support has not just provided a piece of hardware; you have provided the structure and reliability my students need to thrive in a digital world. The kids grew so frustrated with our previous board situation because the tiles never stuck and we were missing a bunch of tiles. \r\n\r\nNow the kiddos have everything they need to successfully build words, practice their decoding and encoding, and have fun while doing it. The students use their built in Elkonin boxes to sound out the words, then they can use their built sound tiles to find the letters that match the sound. \r\n\r\nMy students affectionately ask if they will get to use their \"laptops\" today during the lesson because they feel so fancy and cool while using them. These every day items have been used to create a bright and print rich classroom, games and activities that meet my students specific learning needs, and help reinforce their foundational learning skills.
