These timeless stories have already begun to spark joy and curiosity among our students.\r\nHere's how we've been using these new resources: during library time, we read the stories aloud together, exploring the rich language and charming illustrations that make Beatrix Potter's work so special. After our shared reading, students take the books home to complete a family activity that connects to the story—such as creating a character map or illustrating their favorite scene. This has been a wonderful way to extend learning beyond the classroom and engage families in literacy.\r\nOne memorable moment was when the students first saw the new books displayed in the library. Their excitement was contagious! Many recognized characters like Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck and couldn't wait to read the stories themselves. One student exclaimed, \"I've seen these in movies—now I get to read the real book!\" That enthusiasm set the tone for our lessons.\r\nYour generosity has made all of this possible, and I can't thank you enough for helping us nurture a love of reading and creativity in our students. In the beginning of the school year I go over with my lower grade classes as to how to take care of books they borrow from the library safely so they do not get damaged. \r\nWith the help of these bags you have helped my students be responsible borrowers. They proudly walk through school with their bags and reading buddies. Additionally, thanks to these bags I have not had any of my books damaged due to water this year.
