My students are a diverse group of youngsters, who come from different ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Some of them have both parents that work, and they stay at home with older siblings who don't take the time to read with them at home. My students don't always have the money to buy books, nor the time to visit the local library. My school and the teachers are some of these kids only hopes at bright futures. We as teachers encourage them to learn, study, and push themselves to achieve greatness. For some, school is the only stability that they have.
