The funds helped make sure we can continue providing fun and engaging materials for our students. It also provided the flexible seating stools which are important for providing the kids with seating options other than a regular chair.\r\n\r\nThe kids were so excited to have stools. It gave them autonomy to choose where they wanted to sit that would help them focus best. It was exciting to see how much one small change could help their learning. \r\n\r\nI am forever grateful that there are people willing to donate to classrooms like mine. It means so much that there are people out there willing to share their resources so that we can have fun building and learning. \r\n\r\nThe Fidget Game materials and games have been so much fun to use. The kids were ECSTATIC opening the games for the first time to play. They live the games Squishies, answering the questions, etc. With the games, we've been able to practice phoneme manipulation, prefix and suffixes, decoding words, sight words, addition/subtraction, and telling time. There are so many opportunities for growth and learning with these games and the kids LOVE them. They actually ask to play the games and talk about how much fun they have. To hear the kids laugh and giggle while learning and practicing important skills is so heartwarming as a teacher. \r\n\r\nWe will continue strengthening our literacy skills through play with these games. The best way to learn is through play when you don't even realize it. Having these games is a motivational way for the students to want to do more and show what they know. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1760382647203,"projectUrl":"project/lets-make-reading-lit/9783915/","projectTitle":"Lets Make Reading Lit!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mariah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8565726_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659534925071","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8565726"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82876","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":90,"numTeachers":9,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":21,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":66,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":54.8,"schoolId":82876,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mountainair Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mountainair Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/mountainair-public-schools/mountainair-elementary-school/82876"}
