It was truly heartwarming to see the smiles on students faces while completing this project at the end of the year. \r\nI want to give a little more insight on what our project consisted of. I work at a school that has a wide diversity of financial backgrounds. A lot of my students were on the lower end of that scale. When the time came around to order yearbooks this year, it was expressed to me by a lot of my students that they would not be able to purchase one this year. With that, I wanted to give my opportunity to create their own scrapbook of their year together. The supplies in this project allowed my students to take the pictures that I took throughout the school year and turn them into a forever memory.\r\nYour donations brought smiles to my students faces. I know this activity brought memories to my students that will last a lifetime. \r\nI know that our world is so crazy right now, but thank you so much for taking time to think of us and our needs. As a grade level, we wanted to give students the chance to express themselves through their writing. This spring, we wanted to let the students use the tools they have learned to become authors and illustrators themselves. The tools in this project helped our first graders step into the role of authors and illustrators. Students used the tools in class along with your donations to draft, edit and finalize their writing and illustrating. Now that we have reached the end of the year, we will be inviting families and other grade levels to have a gallery walk where students will be able to talk about and explain the work they have completed.\r\nIn a world where screens and technology have taken such a present role in young lives, my team and I want to say thank you for helping us inspire kids to work with their hands and use their imaginations.","fullyFundedDate":1742315271405,"projectUrl":"project/creating-colorful-first-grade-authors/9063489/","projectTitle":"Creating Colorful First Grade Authors","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Puderbaugh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9609756_orig.jpg?crop=1180,1180,x0,y82&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722048537778","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9609756"},{"teacherId":6229742,"projectId":8881790,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations that allowed me to do this project with another fourth grade class.
