These may seem like simple classroom supplies, but for my students, they have opened the door to more colorful, engaging, hands-on, and accessible learning experiences.\r\n\r\nI have already used the color printer and laminator to create number charts, ten frames, and personalized First-Then charts for my students. The number charts and ten frames provide important visual and hands-on support during math instruction, helping my students practice counting, number recognition, and early math skills. Because these materials are laminated, my students can touch, count, point, write, erase, and practice with them again and again without the materials quickly becoming damaged.\r\n\r\nOne resource that has made an especially meaningful difference is our First-Then chart. In my special education classroom, some students need extra visual support to understand expectations, complete tasks, and transition from one activity to another. The First-Then chart gives them a simple and predictable visual reminder of what they need to do first and what comes next. With the color printer, I can add clear, colorful pictures that my young learners can easily recognize. Laminating the chart makes it durable enough to be used throughout the school day. This simple visual tool helps reduce frustration, encourages students to complete tasks, supports smoother transitions, and most importantly, helps them become more independent and successful in the classroom.\r\n\r\nI was also able to create colorful, laminated name tags for my students. Seeing their names displayed in a bright and special way gives them a sense of belonging and ownership in our classroom. Their name tags can also serve as a visual reference as they learn to recognize, spell, and write their own names. Because they are laminated, they are sturdy enough to withstand the everyday use of busy kindergarten and first-grade learners.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has also allowed me to print pictures for my students' progress-monitoring folders, making each folder more personal, organized, and meaningful. I have already started printing and laminating instructional materials that we will use throughout the school year, including visual supports, math resources, literacy activities, task cards, and other hands-on learning materials. Instead of these resources wearing out after only a few uses, I can now protect them and use them again and again.\r\n\r\nIn special education, visuals, repetition, structure, and hands-on learning can make a tremendous difference. My students learn in different ways and at different paces. Sometimes, something as simple as a colorful picture, a First-Then chart, a ten frame, or a reusable visual can be the bridge that helps a child understand an expectation or master a new skill. Having these supplies allows me to create and adapt materials based on what each student needs.\r\n\r\nThe impact of this donation goes far beyond having a printer and laminator in our classroom. It gives me the ability to turn an idea into a learning tool whenever one of my students needs it. I can create a First-Then chart to help a child successfully transition, a colorful ten frame to make a math concept easier to understand, or a personalized visual to encourage greater independence—all right in my classroom.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these supplies are helping me create a classroom where my students can feel capable, included, confident, and successful. Every colorful chart, laminated activity, personalized name tag, and visual support represents another opportunity for one of my students to understand, participate, practice, and experience the joy of success.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for investing in my classroom and believing in my students. During state reading assessments, they have helped my students block out classroom distractions and stay focused on the passages and questions in front of them. At this age, even small noises or activity around the room can make it difficult for students to maintain their concentration, so having their own headphones has allowed them to feel more comfortable and confident while testing. The microphones have also allowed them to fully access the technology and assessment features they need. Most importantly, these headphones have given my students a quieter, more focused testing environment where they can demonstrate what they know without unnecessary distractions. They know that they have a choice to use the wobble chairs or their old chairs. They enjoy swapping them out during certain activities or on days when they are feeling energetic or struggling to sit still. We also discovered an unknown advantage to these chairs! We have learned how easy they allow us to track the speaker or teacher when they are talking! A simple twist and you can follow any speaker around the room! This makes active learning so much easier!\r\n\r\n Our tablets have been amazing! They are great for so many things, but we have really been using them for writing and phonemic awareness! Even the teacher has grabbed one to write notes on. With your support we were able to develop and create all parts to new board games based off pure imagination. My students used the clay to create their game pieces from pons to dice and even backgrounds. We were able to perform science experiments with great hypothesis, testing, retrying and find results. I have been able to see my students excited to learn and actually have hands on items to do so. \r\n\r\nIt was like Christmas when we were unpacking our new items. As soon as they saw the art supplies they started to ask question and planning how to use them. For my science students they started making a list of items we needed to have.\r\n\r\nStating out the year I have a few returning students and new ones.
