The resources we received from your generous donations have been such a welcome addition to our room. We have a soft start to our day each morning where students are able to choose a morning tub to play. Each morning tub was created to support fine motor skill development and/or support academic skills in math and reading as well. The students were so excited to see the new fine motor materials in our morning tubs once I put them all out. They immediately were engaged in playing and using all of the items and have continued to engage with all the wonderful materials every day. \r\n\r\nI was especially pleased to see some students who had been a bit more reluctant in choosing a morning tub engage with our new items. One student in particular has gravitated towards the letter bots and uses those daily. They have supported his fine motor development as well as encouraging him to identify the letters of the alphabet. Seeing our students blossom and grow with these materials is so heart warming, especially knowing they were provided for by the outside community that believes in supporting children.","fullyFundedDate":1755910823088,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-in-kindergarten/9625892/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning in Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gros","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7052171_orig.jpg?crop=1972,1972,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755705644687","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7052171"},{"teacherId":9080267,"projectId":9815241,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping my class fund this well needed project. \r\n\r\nOur students are using the chair pouches to organize their materials. Students who come in feeling anxious, frustrated, or overstimulated often head straight to the sand table. It's become a grounding tool that helps them regulate their emotions before we begin processing their behavior or discussing next steps. One student who typically has trouble calming down after an outburst now asks to \"do sand first,\" and it has significantly reduced the time it takes for him to rejoin class successfully.\r\nThe bean bags offer a soft, quiet space to de-escalate or reflect. Many students choose to curl up with a book or just sit and breathe, which helps them self-regulate in a non-punitive way. The board games have opened up moments for connection and trust-building — we use them as conversation starters and to practice social-emotional skills like turn-taking, patience, and managing frustration.\r\nThanks to your generosity, students now associate my room with calm, support, and a chance to reset — not \"being in trouble.\"\r\nAs a next step, we're introducing personalized behavior reflection journals. After students use the calming tools, they'll have the opportunity to write or draw about what they were feeling and how they chose to handle it. These journals will help us track progress, identify patterns, and empower students to take ownership of their behavior in a positive, reflective way.\r\nWe are truly grateful for your support. Your donation has created a safe space where students can learn to understand and manage their emotions — a life skill they'll carry well beyond the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1760358860017,"projectUrl":"project/reset-reflect-refocus-a-safe-space-fo/9791615/","projectTitle":"Reset, Reflect, Refocus: A Safe Space for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Holly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10300995_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760374095734","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10300995"},{"teacherId":4993703,"projectId":9330218,"letterContent":"My classes were so excited to receive the 3D Pens so soon!
