My students haven't had the opportunity to dive into our new book club books just yet (that's coming in January!), but the excitement is already building. I've introduced several of the books through book talks, and the *History Smashers* series has already been a hit! What I love about this series is that it challenges students to rethink what they know about historical events and discover that there's often much more to a story than what they've previously learned. These books will encourage students to question, investigate, think critically, and engage in meaningful discussions with their peers. I can already anticipate the energy and enthusiasm these books will bring to our book clubs!\r\n\r\nThe headphones have also been a huge hit! They're already being put to good use throughout the school day. Some students use them to listen to audiobooks, while others use them to access video lessons and other digital learning activities. They're durable enough to withstand daily classroom use, and the bright, eye-catching colors make them especially appealing to my students. When it's time to grab headphones, students are eager to get started! More importantly, they allow students to engage with learning materials independently and at their own pace.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided my students with more than just books and headphones. You've given them opportunities to explore new interests, build confidence, and engage with learning in ways that work best for them. As a teacher, there's nothing better than watching students become excited about learning, especially when they discover that a subject they thought was boring can actually be fascinating! Thank you for helping me create those moments in my classroom.
