I wanted to share how your generous contribution has made a meaningful impact in our autism classroom. Thanks to you, we have been able to incorporate new SEL resources—especially the playdough, sand, and putty—into our daily routines, and the difference has been remarkable.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were priceless. Many of them were immediately drawn to the textures and colors, and you could see their excitement as they explored each item. For some students, simply holding the putty or running their hands through the sand brought an instant sense of calm. Others eagerly used the playdough to create shapes and figures, sparking joy and creativity.\r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stands out was during a recent SEL lesson focused on identifying and managing emotions. We used the sensory tools to help students recognize how their bodies feel when they are overwhelmed and how these materials can support self-regulation. Watching a child independently reach for the putty to calm down during a challenging moment was a powerful reminder of how important these resources truly are.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our SEL journey, our next steps include integrating these materials into personalized regulation routines and expanding our lessons on identifying emotions, practicing coping strategies, and building self-awareness. These tools are helping our students learn how to manage big feelings in a safe and supportive way.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and supporting their growth. Your kindness has created calm, joy, and meaningful learning moments in our classroom every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1763647809881,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-students-social-emotional-ne/9685840/","projectTitle":"Supporting Students’ Social-Emotional Needs With SEL Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. R.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5490780_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y131&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1569537259163","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5490780"},{"teacherId":7181689,"projectId":9873368,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my class donors choose project.
