iPads will give my students access to the latest technology to enhance their learning. The iPad will be used for two primary reasons. First, it will be used to access quality applications that teach students about financial literacy. The second use for the computer will be to give students the ability to use assistive technology to better access the curriculum. For example, older students will be able to use Dragon Dictate software to dictate an essay about financial literacy without being hindered by poor writing skills. Additionally, students will be able to use the IPad to highlight harder text and have it read aloud. The possibilities are endless for my students with access to this kind of technology. "If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn." ~Ignacio Estrada My students learn best through multisensory teaching and technology. Having access to this technology will empower them to learn new life skills that will impact them for years to come.
