The excitement on students' faces when I introduced new projects and lessons incorporating these materials was truly unforgettable.\r\n\r\nThe light tracing box has also been an invaluable resource. It allows students to first sketch their ideas and then trace their own work, helping them refine their projects without the frustration of starting over or relying on pre-made images. Additionally, supplies such as markers, paint, printing plates, plaster cloth rolls, and colored pencils have been consistently used in a wide range of art projects throughout the year.\r\nThe practical items—soap, wipes, and tissues—have also been extremely helpful in maintaining a smooth classroom routine. For example, when time does not permit every student to wash their hands at the sink, the wipes provide a quick and effective solution.\r\n\r\nThe masks were especially impactful during our Black History Month celebration. Our middle school students used them to design African-inspired masks, and the results were truly impressive.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to incorporate the remaining materials into future projects. Plans include using CDs to create hanging sculptures, paper bowls for clay work, poly-fil for small pillow projects, block printing ink for printmaking with foam boards, and mirror board sheets for collage work with our younger students.\r\nYour generosity has enriched our art program in countless ways. The day I received it I rolled it out and as students came into the room, their faces lit up with excitement! Some came in and sat right down on it asking if they could do their work in that space. From our babies in Pre-K to the eighth graders, each utilized the carpet in their own way. Our little ones enjoyed looking at books and hearing a story while sitting on the carpet. Our older students sat on the carpet to be closer to the Smart Board while taking their notes, expressing that they don't have to sit on a cold, dirty floor anymore! Our special needs students used it as a space or sort of a nook to get cozy with some of my plushies, providing a sensory-friendly, defined space that reduces anxiety through tactile comfort and, for some, proprioceptive input. \r\n\r\nYour kindness and support have helped create a warmer, more comfortable learning space for my students.
