Many of our students have never had the opportunity to explore programming before, and the screen-free coding robots and Scratch materials have opened a brand-new avenue for learning. In our building, students often learn best when they can move, manipulate, and experiment, and these coding tools allow them to do exactly that. They're not just learning how to code; they're strengthening problem-solving skills, building perseverance, and gaining confidence in their ability to tackle challenges.\r\n\r\nThe excitement has been amazing to observe. Our youngest students are eager to \"drive\" the screen-free robots down the hallways, testing commands, fixing mistakes, and celebrating each success with huge smiles and laughter. Older students have taken to Scratch with enthusiasm—creating animations, mini-games, and digital stories that reflect their creativity and personalities. Your donation has helped provide 4 helmets, 2 bikes, 2 scooters and one roller racer seated scooter for our students. \r\n\r\nOur students in the lower elementary program are split between two classrooms and take turns rotating daily to the art room. When checking on each student in the sensory area, I am overwhelmed to see them sitting still, hugging the vibrating pillow and just staring at the light tubes. All the sea animals have been names:).
