With your donation of the African Dashikis we now have authentic costumes to wear for our Black History Month Assemblies and Multicultural Assemblies. When the students first opened the packages and saw the beautiful dashikis they were so excited to try them on! \r\n\r\nWe just hosted our annual Black History Month assembly in February and these dashikis were used. They looked great onstage! It's an indescribable feeling when they all dance together with costumes. The students truly felt special. With the stage lights shining on them, the vibrant colors popped even more. I hope to continue to add to our costume department so that many more cultures can be represented. That is the next goal.
