These resources are helping create a classroom environment where students feel supported, welcomed, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were excited to see such a variety of food and snacks available for them. Many students immediately asked when they could have a snack and were grateful that someone thought about their needs. Moving forward, we will continue using the resources to support students during our daily advisory routines and project-based learning activities. Our students are currently working on their portfolios, autobiographies, learning plans, and upcoming exhibitions, so having access to food and snacks will help them stay energized and focused as they complete these important assignments. Our students have enjoyed learning to use the binoculars, and are amazed at what details and features they can see up close. We've also used the books to help us to identify new species and learn more about the birds we see outside of our window everyday.\r\n\r\nOur favorite part of the project has been taking turns going out to feed the birds together. The pigeons that come most often are comfortable around us now and the students love when the birds fly up to them and eat close by. This has been particularly special for our students with disabilities who really love being around animals. \r\n\r\nThank you again!
