One way we used them was during the basketball season I was able to provide the team with snack bags before each game. They were thrilled when I handed them out before the first game!\r\n\r\nAnother way I used these items was for care packages for all students in grades 6-8. We tied these care items into our hygiene a nutrition units. They used our Fair Ways to Play Rule in being able ti take turns with the new item. \r\nThe scholars absolutely love building structures with the magnetic tiles ( their Favorite item of all). They are able to name the colors, shapes and describe their structures in great detail. \r\nWe are currently studying Buildings. Our scholars are comparing the different buildings by the materials they are built with, the strength of the structures etc... They are also discussing the buildings in their neighborhood and the service each building holds, example a church is where people pray and praise God, Walmart is where we can buy toys and pillows for our home, a house is where our family lives. \r\nWith the cold winter among us, we are focusing on staying warm and helping others in need. Some scholars do not have blankets and or warm sweats to wear. We are also trying to have an Essentials Drive for families in need ( and the homeless community). \r\nAs you can see, we are a busy classroom and we are striving for excellence each day.
