Myself and other teachers at Ledge Street Elementary School have put up projects to get our kids outdoor play items that they can use during recess while we are fundraising to build a new playground for the school and neighborhood as the old one is not in good shape.\r\n The kids love the giant connect four games. The are big and sturdy which is great because they are getting a lot of use with 430 kids. We used them last spring as a relay game in our Field Day Event. The kids had a blast.\r\n I do have some great news to share in our new playground effort. The city of Nashua is giving the school a significant amount of money to put towards our new playground. This money and what we have fundraised so far is allowing us to moved forward and start the building process of the new playground. We are optimistic about breaking ground in the spring.\r\n Thank you again for your generosity. As you know with lots of children in the classroom, you can get quite messy. We have an awesome sand PlayStation that the children get to use at indoor recess and other times during the day. The sand is always scattered all over and it gets into the carpet in the rugs and I'm not always able to get a vacuum right away. Having this vacuum cleaner in the classroom is amazing because anytime anything is dirty. We can go ahead and just clean it up. The students also love using the vacuum because it is a special responsibility to be able to vacuum the carpet.
