These wobble chairs may seem like a very simple or unnecessary tool for a classroom. However, I have seen them make a great difference in a student's engagement, learning, and what they produce. A colleague let me use one of her wobble chairs and I saw a huge change in the students that used them in my groups. Although the student's movement is small on a wobble chair, the impact on learning is huge. Giving the students that ability to move their body in a small, controlled way really helps them to be able to put all of their best effort into their learning. So many of my students really want to learn and to make progress, but they can be hindered by their need for physical movement. Just being able to wiggle in these seats will release some of that physical energy and allow my students to put their entire focus into learning. These wobble chairs will really allow my students to achieve their academic best.
