Your support goes far beyond a simple furniture upgradeāit represents a meaningful investment in the daily lives, health, and future success of our students. For many children, the classroom is where they spend the majority of their waking hours, and having desks that properly fit their growing bodies makes a powerful difference. These new desks allow students to sit comfortably, maintain better posture, and move naturally as they learn, creating an environment where they can fully engage without distraction or discomfort. When students' physical needs are met, they are better able to focus on the important work of learning, collaborating, and discovering their potential.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these desks is already evident in the way students approach their learning. With furniture designed to support their size and development, students are more attentive, confident, and eager to participate. They take greater pride in their classroom, treating their space with care and respect because it feels intentionally created for them. Lessons run more smoothly, group work feels more collaborative, and students are able to sustain focus for longer periods of time. Something as seemingly simple as a well-fitted desk communicates a powerful message to children: you matter, your comfort matters, and your education is worth investing in. That message builds self-esteem, encourages perseverance, and fosters a positive relationship with learning that will extend far beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is also shaping the future in ways that reach far past our classroom walls. The students who sit at these desks today are tomorrow's leaders, innovators, educators, and community builders. By creating a learning environment that supports their physical well-being and intellectual growth, you are helping them develop the confidence, critical thinking skills, and sense of responsibility needed to lead with empathy and purpose. These desks are the places where ideas are formed, problems are solved, and dreams begin to take shape. Thank you for believing in our students and for playing a vital role in nurturing the minds and hearts of the next generation. Your investment will be felt for years to come, in ways both seen and unseen, as our students grow into the world leaders of tomorrow.","fullyFundedDate":1763736669921,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-4th-graders-learn-in-comfort-and/9907099/","projectTitle":"Help My 4th Graders Learn in Comfort and Confidence","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vandeventer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9743516_orig.jpg?crop=2048,2048,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726079784600","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msemilyvandeventer"},{"teacherId":9571477,"projectId":9615123,"letterContent":"So many students are faced with things that no child should have to endure. As a school counselor, I see many children come to school with anxiety. Once they are here, it's important to teach kids the skills to be able to work through times of anxiety. \r\nYour contributions to a particular lesson that I was teaching on coping with anxiety is so appreciated! I started a 6 week group with kids that have overwhelming anxiety. One of the lessons was that they created a calming jar. I was able to walk kids through the process of what a calming jar is, why we would use it, and how and when to use it. The kids were SO excited to do this activity. During this activity, it was so nice to see how encouraging and complementary students were to each other. Every jar looked different, and the kids were so wonderful to each other about it!\r\nThank you again for your generosity.
