From the moment the materials arrived, the excitement among the students was immediate. They asked where the materials came from and were thrilled to know that someone had cared enough to support them in such a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe materials are now being used throughout the school—in the lunchroom, classrooms, and resource rooms—and they have already made a difference. Having access to new and varied fidgets and sensory toys allows us to keep our calm-down corners fresh, engaging, and effective. These spaces are essential for helping students regulate their emotions, refocus, and feel supported during the school day. One standout favorite has been the Nee-Doh gumdrops—soft, lightly textured, and perfectly sized for small hands. Students reach for them again and again.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we were also able to replace two worn sensory paths in our hallways. These paths are used daily as students transition throughout the building, providing sensory input during what can often be busy moments. Seeing students confidently and happily use these paths again has been great.\r\n\r\nYour support has improved many areas of our school and, most importantly, the lives of our students. Thank you for helping us create a more supportive, calming, and inclusive environment where every child has the tools they need to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1758855284394,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-spot/9524065/","projectTitle":"Sensory Spot","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fournier","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6959578_orig.png?crop=682,682,x0,y167&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1574217482961","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6959578"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_80239","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":375,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":11,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":89,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"12.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":57.9,"schoolId":80239,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about James Mastricola Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"James Mastricola Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-hampshire/merrimack-school-district-sau-26/james-mastricola-elementary-school/80239"}
