My list included a classroom carpet, a cordless vacuum, and a whiteboard easel.\r\n\r\nBefore we had a carpet, we were using sit spots, which got the job done, but the kids much prefer have a carpeted space to sit on. The class is able to stay on their spots better and have a better understanding of the space around them.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, we use the whiteboard easel daily. It's more compact than a traditional easel, and I'm so grateful that it saves space in our learning environment. We also use the cordless vacuum almost daily. My school unfortunately lost our night custodian mid-year, and I was incredibly grateful to have access to my own vacuum to get our learning space neat and clean for the day.\r\n\r\nAll of these items were super practical and accomplished exactly what I was hoping they would. We were fine with what we had, but these items added to our classroom and made it feel more cohesive and put together. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity in funding this project!","fullyFundedDate":1768667295342,"projectUrl":"project/elevating-the-basics/10023907/","projectTitle":"Elevating the Basics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pree","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6512487"},{"teacherId":8120157,"projectId":10018717,"letterContent":"My students have been using the new materials in our literacy centers every day, and they've made such a difference in engagement. One moment that really stood out was during our \"Post Office\" dramatic play center. Students used the play mailbox to deliver letters to their classmates. During literacy centers, students also used the a-z stamps to practice their high frequency words, while others were using the brain flakes to build letters. The magnetic tray white boards have been extremely helpful during math as students used them to build teen numbers using counters and twenty frames. \r\n\r\nMy students were immediately excited and curious when they saw the new materials. There was a lot of \"Can I try that?!\" and genuine excitement about exploring each item. The hands-on nature of the materials really drew them in, especially the paint sticks and sensory tray. Even some of my quieter students became more engaged and eager to participate, which was really special to see.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building writing skills using these materials in more intentional ways. For example, students can use the A–Z stamps and play dough stampers to create CVC words, and we will expand our post office center to include writing short messages or drawing pictures to communicate ideas. I also plan to incorporate more sensory-based learning, like using the sensory tray for high frequency words and word-building activities, so students can continue learning through play while strengthening their literacy skills.","fullyFundedDate":1768673263447,"projectUrl":"project/multisensory-exploration/10018717/","projectTitle":"Multisensory Exploration","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mays","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8120157_orig.png?crop=1597,1597,x0,y95&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1633799483036","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8120157"},{"teacherId":9352487,"projectId":10031049,"letterContent":"My students were beyond excited when our new materials arrived, it truly felt like a special delivery just for them! As soon as we opened everything, I heard so many voices asking, \"Can we use this right now?!\" We've already been using the resources during Fun Fridays, for community building, and through our SEL Huggables to help support students when they are feeling upset. We've also incorporated the ELA writing and detail games into our centers and small group instruction. We even made great use of many of the materials during our snow day this year!\r\n\r\nThese resources have made a huge difference, especially for my diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students who benefit from additional support. The visuals and hands-on components help make abstract concepts more concrete, and I've seen students stay more engaged and willing to collaborate with one another. It has been incredibly rewarding to see students who were previously hesitant now jumping in, participating, and even helping their classmates with different tasks.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these materials to deepen our understanding of key skills, apply them to new learning, and, of course, have fun! Your generosity has truly created meaningful learning experiences in our classroom, and we are so grateful for your support in helping our students grow.","fullyFundedDate":1768709606239,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-materials-that-motivate-learnin/10031049/","projectTitle":"Engaging materials that motivate learning through fun and creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Linnett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9352487_orig.jpg?crop=926,925,x0,y169&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699117997297","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9352487"},{"teacherId":9695579,"projectId":10030321,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my Donors Choose project and helping my computer lab grow! This has made a big difference in helping my students stay focused, work independently, and learn how to take care of shared materials. The small hand vacuum has been wonderful for keeping keyboards clean, which helps our computers stay in good shape for daily use.\r\n\r\nThe toolkit allows us to quickly fix small device issues and teaches students that technology needs care and responsibility. The wireless presenter has helped students engage more in their Power Point presentations in the lab. \r\n\r\nThese resources have helped create a learning environment where students feel excited to explore technology, collaborate with classmates, and build important early STEM skills.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom and making a lasting impact on my students' education. We use the CVC word cards daily during our phonics warm-ups, practicing blending sounds and building words together. Recently, one of my students who has struggled with reading was able to independently read an entire decodable reader from start to finish. The pride on their face when they realized, \"I read that all by myself!\" was such a powerful classroom moment. These materials are giving my students structured, supportive practice that helps skills truly stick.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new books and word cards, they were so excited. They immediately started flipping through the readers, pointing out words they recognized and trying to sound them out. Having books that match their exact skill level makes such a difference. Instead of feeling frustrated, they feel successful. The CVC cards have also turned word work into something interactive and fun, and students are much more eager to participate.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are continuing to build fluency and confidence. We are working toward reading longer decodable texts smoothly and applying CVC skills when writing sentences independently. Because of you, my students are strengthening their foundational reading skills and beginning to see themselves as readers. Thank you for investing in their growth and giving them tools that truly meet their needs.","fullyFundedDate":1770265428233,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-readers-with-the-right-resour/10063136/","projectTitle":"Empowering Readers With the Right Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10419694"},{"teacherId":7152392,"projectId":8911089,"letterContent":"Thank you purchasing new stools and a rug for my 1st grade classroom.
