With your support, we were able to put tennis balls on the bottoms of our chairs, and the difference has been incredible.\r\n\r\nThe constant screeching of chairs on the cement floor was distracting students and interrupting lessons. Now, with the tennis balls in place, our classroom is quieter, calmer, and more peaceful. Students can focus better on their learning, participate without distraction, and feel more comfortable moving around the room.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just reduce noise — it improved our classroom environment, helping students concentrate, stay engaged, and feel more confident during lessons. With new toner, our K–8 learners will be able to print posters, research findings, digital artwork, and coding achievements they can see, hold, and share with pride. Many projects live only on screens right now — ink allows students to transform their ideas into something tangible and memorable.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, school is the only place they have access to color printing. Having ink available means that every child, regardless of home resources, can create polished work that reflects their effort and creativity. Whether they are designing robotics blueprints, completing infographics, or earning technology skill badges, printed work brings visibility and excitement to learning.\r\n\r\nYour support ensures that students can continue to produce display-ready projects that showcase growth, determination, and innovation. Ink may fuel the printer, but your gift fuels confidence. When the materials arrived, the students' eyes lit up with curiosity and excitement. Many had never seen the inside of an animal, even in model form, and they couldn't wait to put on their gloves and begin exploring.\r\n\r\nUsing the fake frog kits, my students practiced identifying basic organs, learned new vocabulary words like heart, lungs, and stomach, and began understanding that living things have parts that work together to help them survive. The models allowed them to explore anatomy in a fun, age-appropriate way while building fine motor skills, teamwork, and observation. One of the sweetest moments was hearing a student exclaim, \"I'm a real scientist!\" as they carefully examined their frog with tweezers.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my young learners gained confidence and curiosity about how living things work. This experience laid a strong foundation for future biology and STEM lessons, and it showed them that science is something they can touch, see, and do. Our next step will be to compare frogs to other animals and even ourselves as we continue learning about body systems and life cycles.\r\n\r\nYour support made this joyful and educational experience possible—thank you for helping bring science to life in our kindergarten classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1726700580561,"projectUrl":"project/kind-dissection-materials/8790322/","projectTitle":"Kind Dissection Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Moran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9354569_orig.jpg?crop=2544,2544,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699296283972","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/fcasteam"},{"teacherId":9354569,"projectId":8815777,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our Freedom Classical Academy Robotics Club had an incredible year of innovation, teamwork, and discovery! When the new robotics kits arrived, the excitement in the room was electric—students immediately started brainstorming designs, coding challenges, and testing out how different sensors and motors worked. Many had never worked with robotics before, so seeing their creations come to life for the first time was a truly magical moment.\r\n\r\nThroughout the year, we used the new resources to explore real-world engineering and programming skills. Students collaborated to build and code robots that could navigate obstacle courses, lift small objects, and even compete in timed challenges. Their confidence and problem-solving abilities grew with each success and setback, and it was inspiring to see them celebrate every improvement as a team.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students not only learned technical skills like coding logic and mechanical design but also developed patience, resilience, and collaboration. Our next step is to expand the club into a competitive robotics team this year, where students will apply what they've learned to tackle more complex builds and regional competitions.\r\n\r\nYour generosity gave my students the opportunity to dream bigger, think creatively, and see themselves as future engineers and innovators. Many of them gathered around the materials in awe, asking curious questions and eagerly reading about the anatomy they were about to explore. For several, it will be their very first time doing a hands-on lab like this, and the sense of responsibility and wonder on their faces will be unforgettable.\r\n\r\nDuring the dissections, students will work collaboratively in teams, carefully identifying organs and connecting what they've learned about human anatomy and body systems. It will be incredible to watch them make real-world connections—understanding how similar structures function across species and how complex living systems truly are.\r\n\r\nThis project doesn't just teach science—it builds teamwork, focus, and confidence. My students will walk away proud of what they accomplish, and several will share this experience and make them want to pursue careers in medicine, biology, or veterinary science.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom will be transformed into a true biology lab—one that sparks curiosity and lifelong interest in science.
