Your contribution has truly enriched their student learning and passion for the culinary arts. \r\n\r\nStudents especially enjoyed using the pasta machines to create homemade fettuccine and spaghetti, bring their lessons to life in a meaningful way. They also developed new skills and confidence by learning how to properly use scales to measure ingredients with accuracy. In addition, the games quickly became a favorite in the classroom. My students have really appreciated the wider variety and higher quality art supplies. When we have creative opportunities they are thrilled to have actual skintone markers to work with rather than 'making it work' with yellow. Some of the attached pictures include my students working on an investing strategy for a fictional character. The adult scissors have been much preferred over the elementary-style safety scissors we had before. \r\n\r\nThe escape room supplies really added some pizzazz to our escape room review activity. The students particularly enjoyed using the blacklight to find the code to one of the locks! \r\n\r\nThe dry erase boards have also added a fun and effective way to gauge how much students have mastered throughout a lesson. We have also used them for review games and activities as pictured.","fullyFundedDate":1768698341360,"projectUrl":"project/escape-room-art-supplies/10031333/","projectTitle":"Escape Room & Art Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10407876"},{"teacherId":8063225,"projectId":9990613,"letterContent":"My students have fully embraced using their new Bambu Lab printer, and the excitement in the classroom is hard to miss. From the moment it was set up, they were eager to explore its capabilities, asking questions, experimenting with ideas, and watching their designs come to life. The printer has quickly become a centerpiece of our learning environment, sparking curiosity and giving students a hands-on way to connect with concepts that might otherwise feel abstract.\r\n\r\nAs they've worked with the printer, students are developing valuable technical skills, especially in learning how to program and prepare their own files for printing. They've been diving into design software, troubleshooting errors, and refining their models through trial and error. This process has pushed them to think critically and creatively, building confidence as they move from simple designs to more complex, functional pieces.\r\n\r\nWhat's been most impressive is how they've applied this technology to real-world aerospace needs. Students are designing and printing custom parts, testing their ideas, and making improvements based on performance. The level of enthusiasm is high—students are motivated, engaged, and proud of what they're creating. It's clear that this experience is not only teaching them technical skills but also inspiring a deeper interest in engineering and innovation.","fullyFundedDate":1768606729368,"projectUrl":"project/physics-and-aerospace-through-engineerin/9990613/","projectTitle":"Physics and Aerospace Through Engineering","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Olsen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8063225_orig.jpg?crop=1706,1706,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1633898511200","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8063225"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56226","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":761,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":51,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":28.8,"schoolId":56226,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Virgin Valley High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Virgin Valley High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/clark-county-school-district/virgin-valley-high-school/56226"}
