The classroom rug has quickly become a central gathering space where we come together for read-alouds, discussions, and collaborative lessons. The whiteboards and markers are now a regular part of our instruction, allowing every student to actively participate, practice skills, and share their thinking in real time. The crayons and sharpener have also supported our creative projects, giving students the tools they need to express themselves clearly and confidently.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were beyond excited. Their faces lit up as they explored each item, and they were especially eager to use the whiteboards and crayon sharpener right away. It was a joyful moment to see their enthusiasm for learning grow simply from having fresh, high-quality supplies of their own. \r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to support our current lessons and future projects. We are using the whiteboards daily for math problem-solving and literacy practice, and the rug will remain a key part of our classroom as we build discussion skills and collaborative learning routines. These materials are not just supplies—they are helping create an engaging, inclusive environment where every student feels excited and ready to learn. With these new materials, students are more excited to participate, collaborate, and explore new ideas. The added support has allowed me to create more interactive and hands-on lessons, helping students better understand concepts and build confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nStudents are spending more time reading independently, improving their comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. The updated library materials allow me to better support different reading levels and interests, ensuring that every student can find something that is both accessible and inspiring.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the enhanced library has created a more inviting and enriching learning environment. It encourages curiosity, quiet reflection, and meaningful discussion among students. Overall, the donation has helped foster a stronger reading culture in our classroom and has empowered students to become more confident, enthusiastic learners.","fullyFundedDate":1768746176065,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-classroom-reading-nook/10034481/","projectTitle":"Cozy Classroom Reading Nook","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8152856_orig.jpg?crop=1723,1723,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659566319504","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8152856"},{"teacherId":10407607,"projectId":10030930,"letterContent":"Your generous support has truly made a difference in our classroom. My students use these new resources every day. The organizers have created a more structured and clutter-free environment. Now, students can easily access their materials and stay focused during lessons. The laminating machine has been especially helpful in preparing durable learning materials, such as flashcards, visual aids, and activity sheets for hands-on learning. A memorable moment was during our phonics lesson. Students were excited to use the newly laminated letter cards to build words. I could see their confidence grow as they actively participated.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They were eager to explore everything, from the neatly organized supplies to the colorful and engaging learning tools. This immediately fostered a sense of ownership and pride in our classroom. Even simple routines, like cleaning up and organizing their workspaces, became more enjoyable for them. The disinfecting wipes also help us maintain a clean and safe environment, which is very important for young learners.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these resources will continue to support our daily lessons and upcoming classroom projects. We are focused on building strong reading and writing skills, and the materials allow us to take part in more interactive and meaningful activities. My next step is to add more small-group and individualized instruction using these tools, especially to help students with different learning needs. Thanks to your kindness, my students are learning in a more positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment. My students were thrilled to get their new seat sacks and cubes for organizing their school supplies. Our room is cleaner and now we don't trip all over students' buckets and supplies. \r\n\r\nThe students were also excited to use the new materials in play centers. Their favorites have been the STEM building blocks with ball/joint connections. They love building new creatures and machines with these blocks, and I have seen team work, communication, and lots of pretend play with the blocks. Another favorite has been the train set. Many students work together to create new railroad tracks each day. \r\n\r\nWhen my students saw the new unboxed items, they were very excited to use them and asked if they would be in play centers that day. As soon as I put them in play centers they were popular and well played with.\r\n\r\nCurrently we are studying about American history and landmarks. I am incorporating these elements into our play centers - camp site in dramatic play area with pictures from national parks, pictures of USA landmarks in the block center for children to try and build what they see, writing postcards from different states to put in our mailbox, and creating US historical figures trading cards.","fullyFundedDate":1768535472485,"projectUrl":"project/a-place-for-me/10018417/","projectTitle":"A Place For Me","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reber","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2594994_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y110&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701669035287","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2594994"},{"teacherId":10413934,"projectId":10045648,"letterContent":"Thank you for making these sensory supports possible for our classroom. When the materials arrived, my students were immediately curious and excited to explore them. One of the first things they noticed were the headphones and sensory items. Several students who are sensitive to noise quickly gravitated toward the headphones, and it was amazing to see how much calmer and more focused they were during small group activities and independent work.\r\n\r\nWe are already using these materials throughout the school day. The headphones help students stay focused during reading and independent work times by reducing overwhelming sounds in the classroom. The weighted blankets provide calming support during quiet breaks or when a student is feeling overwhelmed. With the laminating sheets and Velcro dots, I have been able to create visual schedules, communication boards, and hands-on learning materials that students can interact with independently. These tools help my students better understand routines, make choices, and participate more confidently in classroom activities.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students have access to resources that help them regulate their bodies and stay engaged in learning. As we continue working on communication, independence, and academic skills, these materials will support students as they practice daily routines, participate in lessons, and build confidence in the classroom. Your support has helped create a learning environment where students feel calm, supported, and ready to learn.
