One of their favorite activities is when I perform a rhythm and they echo it back on their buckets. As they become more confident, students take turns leading the class and creating their own rhythms.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to combine several rhythms into a class bucket-drumming performance. Students will practice starting and stopping together, following a leader, and performing with different dynamics and rhythmic patterns.\r\n\r\nThese resources have made music more active and accessible for students in grades K–5. It has been wonderful to watch students who may have never played an instrument discover that they can be musicians too!
