At the end of the month, my students are already mentally prepared. As it gets closer to the end of the month, they ask \"Is it prize day yet? On our next prize day, I want to get a squishy or a clicker!\" The students also try to ask for extra prizes if they do well in speech and try their best. Even new students who come to my room ask me what the big box of things are and if they can get one. Having this material motivates them not only to do well but they also try to provide me suggestions for the next round of items to put in the treasure box. They use the cushions to get comfy while having some free time on the floor.
