A variety of sensory tools lets us offer students choices that work best for them.\r\n\r\nThe students were immediately excited and curious about our new materials. Some students wanted to try the chairs right away, while others were drawn to the Play-Doh and began exploring it through squeezing, rolling, and shaping it. What may seem like simple sensory materials has become a valuable tool that helps my students feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWe are continuing to use these resources throughout our daily lessons and classroom routines. Students can use the spinning chairs or Play-Doh during sensory breaks, independent work, and transitions when they need additional support with regulation.
