Many of my students have medical conditions that can worsen when they become dehydrated or overheated, so keeping them cool and hydrated is extremely important throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nThe water pitcher, reusable water bottles, cooling towels, and hats provided through this project have helped my students safely participate in outdoor activities such as P.E. and community-based instruction. These items may seem simple, but for my students, they provide an added layer of comfort, safety, and independence while they are learning and participating outside of the classroom.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when the supplies arrived. Their faces lit up as they received and began using the new materials, and they were incredibly thankful. Having a reliable, high-quality speaker has made an immediate difference in our gym and outdoor activities. In PE, technology may look a little different than it does in a traditional classroom. We use music, timers, audio cues, and announcements to help organize activities, keep students moving, and create an energetic environment where students are excited to participate.\r\n\r\nThe students especially love having music playing during fitness activities, warm-ups, games, and independent practice. The new speaker is powerful enough for students to hear clearly throughout our activity spaces, which makes transitions smoother and allows us to spend more class time being active. Music has also helped make fitness activities feel more engaging and enjoyable, especially for students who may not naturally feel confident or enthusiastic about physical activity.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this speaker has helped us create a PE environment that feels fun, welcoming, and motivating. Seeing students get excited when the music starts—and watching that energy carry over into their participation—has been incredibly rewarding. By adding current, high-interest titles and critically acclaimed multicultural YA fiction to our classroom library, students had more opportunities to choose books that genuinely interested them and connected with their own experiences and perspectives.\r\n\r\nFor many students, finding the right book was the spark that turned reading from an assignment into something they genuinely enjoyed. These new titles gave our voracious readers fresh choices while also helping more reluctant readers discover stories that felt relevant, engaging, and worth talking about. Your generosity helps make that possible.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, my AP Literature students will have greater access to books they can choose for themselves, giving them the opportunity to find stories, characters, cultures, and perspectives that genuinely capture their interest. Choice matters. When students have a book they are excited to pick up, they are more likely to read deeply, stick with a challenging text, and develop the kind of reading habits that extend far beyond my classroom.\r\n\r\nThe supplies from this project will also become part of our everyday learning. Students will annotate, mark important passages, track their thinking, discuss what they notice, and return to their ideas as they develop more sophisticated interpretations. These may seem like small tools, but they support the daily habits that help students become stronger and more confident readers and writers.\r\n\r\nPerhaps most importantly, your support sends my students a message: their education is worth investing in. They deserve access to engaging books, meaningful choices, and the resources they need to challenge themselves. Your generosity helps ensure that limited classroom resources do not become a limit on what my students can learn or accomplish.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping me keep the shelves full, the conversations going, and the possibilities wide open for my students.
