Before this project was funded, one of our biggest challenges was simply getting those materials into students' hands in a timely and accessible way. Your donation has completely changed that.\r\n\r\nWith this new printer, I am now able to quickly scan and digitize worksheets, assignments, and instructional materials provided by teachers. These documents can be converted into PDF format and emailed directly to students while they are actively participating in our virtual classroom. This means students no longer fall behind waiting for materials—they can access their work immediately, stay engaged during class time, and complete assignments alongside their peers.\r\n\r\nThis resource has also increased student accountability and independence. Students are better able to manage their workload, submit completed assignments, and take ownership of their learning. It has helped create a smoother, more efficient workflow that mirrors a traditional classroom experience, even from a distance.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support has removed a barrier. You've made it possible for students—many of whom are already facing challenges—to stay connected to their education, remain productive during the school day, and continue making academic progress.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is making a real, daily impact in the lives of my students. Thank you for believing in them and for helping create opportunities for success in a virtual setting.","fullyFundedDate":1768169017164,"projectUrl":"project/a-printer-for-a-virtual-classroom/10001590/","projectTitle":"A Printer for a Virtual Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Harber","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5495255_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x270,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699992767546","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5495255"},{"teacherId":9347413,"projectId":9991324,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, From Code to Creation: 3D Printing in Cybersecurity. Your generosity has given my students the chance to experience technology in a hands-on, meaningful way that goes far beyond what they can learn from a textbook alone. In our classroom, 3D printing helps students connect digital design, problem-solving, and cybersecurity concepts in a real-world format. Instead of only talking about how technology works, students now get to create, test, and improve actual projects of their own. This has made learning more engaging, more interactive, and much more memorable for them.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students the most is seeing their ideas come to life. There is something powerful about designing an object on a computer and then watching it become real layer by layer on the printer. That process has sparked a lot of curiosity, creativity, and motivation in the classroom. Students who may not always speak up during regular instruction have become more involved when working with this technology. Some have taken a special interest in designing models, troubleshooting print issues, and thinking critically about how digital tools can be used to solve problems. It has been especially rewarding to watch students build confidence as they realize they are capable of creating something original and useful.\r\n\r\nYour donation has opened the door to deeper learning and has helped make technology education more exciting for my students. They can reflect on their own beliefs as well as beliefs of their peers. In addition, my students discuss ideas about fairness and its multi - faceted components. This is why culturally relevant texts are so important to have accessible to students. The texts that were donated are mostly from Middle Eastern and Black authors to represent those cultures within my classroom. Each section editor got to pick their own color for our calendar giving them ownership and making it easy to see who is responsible for what. They were even more thrilled to have a working camera thanks to the SD card and rechargeable battery that was provided. I gave them press passes and they got to take our camera out and shoot some of the amazing work that our Student Council did in decorating the hallways \"like real journalists\" they said. We plan to continue this momentum and hope to publish our first online edition in the next couple of weeks. \r\n\r\nAs you can imagine the snacks are a hit. Instead of just reading or listening, students are able to interact with content, explore ideas more deeply, and learn in ways that match how they naturally engage with the world. The technology allows me to incorporate visuals, videos, and interactive activities that help students better understand complex topics, especially in history where seeing and analyzing sources really matters. It also helps students stay more focused and motivated because learning feels more relevant and engaging.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for students is how interactive everything has become. They love being able to participate in activities like digital simulations, primary source analysis, and collaborative work where they can share ideas in real time. It's not just passive learning anymore—they feel like they're part of the lesson. Many students have also enjoyed having more independence in their learning, whether that's working at their own pace or exploring topics that interest them more deeply.\r\n\r\nI've especially noticed that some of my quieter students and those who sometimes struggle with traditional instruction have really connected with this technology. Students who might not normally speak up in class are more willing to participate through digital platforms, which has helped build their confidence. Visual learners, in particular, have benefited because they can actually see and interact with what they're learning instead of just hearing about it. Overall, this technology has helped create a more inclusive classroom where more students feel successful and engaged.","fullyFundedDate":1768179595054,"projectUrl":"project/research-with-rewards/10005358/","projectTitle":"Research with Rewards!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cook","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10401272"},{"teacherId":7535153,"projectId":9144649,"letterContent":"Thank you so much.
