Many of my students have medical conditions that can worsen when they become dehydrated or overheated, so keeping them cool and hydrated is extremely important throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nThe water pitcher, reusable water bottles, cooling towels, and hats provided through this project have helped my students safely participate in outdoor activities such as P.E. and community-based instruction. These items may seem simple, but for my students, they provide an added layer of comfort, safety, and independence while they are learning and participating outside of the classroom.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when the supplies arrived. Their faces lit up as they received and began using the new materials, and they were incredibly thankful. And putting these two together they have been able to practice measuring central angles and arc measurements.\r\n\r\nThe counting blocks have been a great help during our area and volume unit. Getting to actually count blocks that make up the area of 2D shapes has been very helpful.
